Junior Analyst Program

Headed by Managing Directors Jack Boren and Ryan Hemingway, EPIC is training the next generation. Every semester EPIC recruits the best and brightest from University of Utah and Brigham Young University to the program, providing an immersive learning opportunity where students gain real-world experience in the venture capital industry. To date, over 100 students have completed the program and have gone on to be leaders in private equity funds, investment banks, consulting firms and more. 

Intern
Program:

EPIC offers two semester rotational training programs. The first semester starts in the fall and the second in the winter. The top 25% performing interns are invited back for second the semester.

First Semester:
Deal Sourcing

Goal: Identify investment opportunities

– Lead meetings with Founders/CEOs
– Conduct initial investment review
– Present promising prospects to Investment
– Directors on a weekly basis

Second Semester:
Diligence Team

Goal: Analyze potential investment opportunities

– Perform in-depth analysis on competitive landscape, market size and product viability
– Present diligence to investment Directors on a weekly basis

Intern Logistics:

– Minimum of 10 hours a week
– Flexible schedule; Friday morning meetings
– Unpaid, academic credit opportunities available
